Dr. Steven Clark elected ACP Fellow
Cleveland, MS - Steven Clark, M.D. FACP, an internist practicing in the Cleveland, MS at Bolivar Medical Center and at the Cleveland Medical Clinic, has been elected a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (ACP), the professional society of internists. The distinction recognizes achievements in internal medicine, the specialty of adult medical care.
Dr. Clark along with one other internal medicine physician in Mississippi was elected upon the recommendation of peers and the review of ACP's Credentials subcommittee. Fellowship is an honor achieved by those recognized by their peers for personal integrity, superior competence in internal medicine, professional accomplishment, and demonstrated scholarship. Fellows are authorized to use the letters "FACP" after their name. Fellows are inducted at a Convocation ceremony held during ACP's annual Internal Medicine meeting.
Dr. Clark is affiliated with Bolivar Medial Center where he serves on the Hospital Board and is Chief of Critical Care. He also serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Mississippi School of Medicine. He is certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine and in Diabetes Care by the American Diabetes Association.
He has practiced in Cleveland, Mississippi since completing Medical School, Internship, and Residency at the University Medical Center in Jackson. He received his B.S. and M.S. N.S. degree from Delta State University. He currently is a practicing partner of the Cleveland Medical Clinic, PLLC, a seven member primary care group practice in Cleveland, Mississippi.
The American College of Physicians is the second-largest physician group in the United States. Membership includes more than 129,000 internists, related subspecialists, and medical students. Internists are specialists in the prevention, detection and treatment of illnesses in adults.
