Bolivar Medical Center Opens Outpatient Services Center

Bolivar Medical Center recently opened the Outpatient Services Center (OSC) located on the first floor of the hospital. 

In 2016, Bolivar Medical Center won the HIGH Five Award which is the highest honor awarded by LifePoint Hospitals and provides capital to invest back into the hospital and community. The $300,000 center has been under construction since October 2017 and features six state-of-the-art rooms with reclining chairs and televisions.

The OSC was implemented to provide a central location for outpatients to receive treament instead of visiting multiple locations throughout the hospital. CEO Robert Marshall on the delivery of service that will be offered at the OSC.

“The Outpatient Services Center will offer the community a destination site for outpatient care that implements the latest in technology with limited wait times,” Marshall said. “We anticipate that the facility will enhance the patient experience at Bolivar Medical Center.”

The OSC provides patients shorter wait times and centrally-located services for convenience. The Outpatient Services Center will offer services that include but are not limited to the following: infusion therapy, stress testing, respiratory procedures, injections, EKGs and laboratory services.

To celebrate its implementation, a ribbon cutting ceremony was held in conjunction with a Business After Hours event co-hosted with the Cleveland-Bolivar County Chamber of Commerce. The event took place on Thursday, May 10 at 5:30 p.m. in the lobby of Bolivar Medical Center.

A part of LifePoint Hospitals®, Bolivar Medical Center is a 164 bed acute-care general hospital accredited by The Joint Commission, which offers a full complement of medical and surgical services. The hospital also offers a wide array of outpatient services and in addition, includes a 35-bed nursing home, 12 swing beds and 12 geropsychology beds.
