Dr. Catherine Petzinger joins Bolivar Medical Center

Bolivar Medical Center announced today that Catherine Petzinger, DO, has joined its staff and will be offering surgical services to patients throughout the Mississippi Delta.    

“We are pleased to welcome Dr. Petzinger to Cleveland to practice at Bolivar Medical Center,” said Rob Marshall, CEO of Bolivar Medical Center. “Dr. Petzinger will fill a growing need in our community, and her training at Beaumont Hospital in Michigan has given her a great breadth of experience in a wide range of procedures that people in our region need.  This expertise will be important as Bolivar Medical Center works to make our community healthier.”

Petzinger graduated from MidWestern University Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in Downers Grove, Illinois. She completed her residency at Beaumont Hospital in Farmington Hills, Michigan. Petzinger is a member of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons and the American Osteopathic Association. 

Being part of a military family, Petzinger has lived in Dallas, Italy, the suburbs of Chicago and Arkansas. She was immediately drawn to Cleveland’s atmosphere and is eager to discover the area.

“When I first came to Cleveland, I fell in love with the area. The town is so sweet and has so much to offer. I am looking forward to discovering the area and getting to know the people,” said Petzinger.

Petzinger is ready to serve the community and help treat patients and families in the surrounding areas. She offers a wide range of surgical skills that include but are not limited to the following: colonoscopy/EGD, hernia repairs, cholecystectomy, appendectomy, lumpectomy and breast care, lipoma/mass excisions, hemorrhoidopexy and colon surgery.
