Bolivar Medical Center Employees Elected as Board Members to Mississippi Nurses Association

Bolivar Medical Center is proud to announce that several of its employees have been elected as board members to the Mississippi Nurses Association (MNA) in a recent election held in April for District 23.
Kaffie Burns-Denley, RN, has been selected as President, bringing her extensive experience and leadership to the forefront. Teresa Grissette, RN, was elected as Vice President, and Rhonda Stallings, RN, was chosen as Chair of the Nominations Committee. JoAnn McCollum, RN, CNO, will also serve on the Nominations Committee, ensuring a robust and dynamic board.
Other dedicated BMC employees serving as members of District 23 include Rhonda Allen, RN, Sybil Lucic, RN, Brittany McCreary, RN, Cheri Rickels, RN, and Rhonda Prado, RN. Their election to these roles is a testament to their commitment to the nursing profession and their community.
MNA is the voice of Registered Nurses and Advanced Practice Registered Nurses in Mississippi, advocating for the advancement and support of the nursing profession across the state. District 23 encompasses Bolivar, Coahoma, Tallahatchie, Quitman, and Tunica counties.
In addition to the BMC employees, other community members elected to the board include Emily Newman, Secretary, Delta State School of Nursing; Mari Micci Shannon, Treasurer, Delta State School of Nursing; and Angela Cooper, Nominations Committee, RB Health Partners, Inc.
District 23 is currently undertaking a significant project to support community members without homes or permanent shelter. They are assembling backpacks filled with necessary items, first aid supplies, and food to benefit approximately 50 homeless individuals in the community. This initiative underscores the district's dedication to improving the lives of those in need.
